Arkema Inc. and Andes Chemical Corp. recently announced a strategic alliance that includes the distribution of a range of specialty chemicals for coatings throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and portions of South America. Andes Chemical will represent a product portfolio that includes Arkema’s acrylic monomers, binders from Arkema Coating Resins, a business unit of Arkema Inc., and additives from Arkema subsidiary Coatex.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for our two companies to better serve the region,” said Eric Kaiser, Business director, Americas, for Arkema Coating Resins. “Andes Chemical has over 25 years of experience in the marketplace with an in-depth understanding of the needs of the coatings customer.”

“We are extremely happy to enter into this strategic alliance with Arkema,” said Fernando Espinosa, president and CEO of Andes Chemical. “Arkema Coating Resins and Coatex offer innovative products with outstanding performance, and with Arkema’s acrylic monomers, add a tremendous value to our total product line offer to our customers in the region.”
