The PreMax is a batch-style rotor/stator mixer designed for ultra-high-shear conditions and vigorous flow, reportedly an ideal combination that supports high-speed production of fine dispersions and emulsions. The patented “Delta” mixing head can run up to 5,000 ft/min and produces a double vortex that pulls product from the top and bottom of the rotor while simultaneously expelling material through the stator openings and into the surrounding mix. 

The equipment offers solids/liquid injection manifold (SLIM) technology, which reportedly allows operators to draw powders straight from the bag and inject them sub-surface at precisely the location where intense mixing takes place. The PreMax is equipped with a modified Delta rotor/stator, which generates its own negative pressure and does not rely on an external eductor or pump to induct powders.
