Asymtek, Carlsbad, Calif., and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, N.Y., have entered into joint research on the material-machine interactions of commercially available, no-flow underfill materials. This is a new project in a series of ongoing efforts with RIT. RIT will design and perform the study using a Century® C-718 automated fluid-dispensing system equipped with a DispensJet® valve, donated by Asymtek. This effort will help define the future role of material jetting of no-flow underfill materials.
