Chemir/Polytech Laboratories, Inc., St. Louis, Mo., was recently honored as one of a select group of the fastest growing independent, privately held, for-profit companies based in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The St. Louis Business Journal researches and publishes this ranking on an annual basis. Chemir/Polytech achieved an outstanding 77.8% increase in revenue from 1999. Ranking in the upper 50% of the list, company revenues rose to $6 million in 2001 from $3.4 million in 1999.

Flexicon Corp., Bethlehem, Pa., a supplier of bulkbag handling systems and other manufacturing equipment, has relocated to a new manufacturing facility and world headquarters in Bethlehem. The move consolidates operations formerly located at Phillipsburg, N.J., and Easton, Pa.

Russell Finex Inc., Pineville, N.C., recently relocated to a custom-designed, 35,000-sq-ft facility complete with test labs for its patented Vibrasonic deblinding system, Eco Line filters, compact screeners and Eco separators. The company is also celebrating its 35th anniversary.

Sartomer Co., Exton, Pa., has signed three new distributors for its NorsoleneR line of hydrocarbon resins. The three companies, J.H. Calo Co., Inc.; Dowd and Guild, Inc.; and Brenntag Mid-South/Brenntag South-East, will distribute Norsolene products respectively to customers in the Northeastern, Western and Southeastern United States. Ashland Chemical, a Norsolene distributor since the mid-1990s, will continue to serve the Missouri, Iowa and Kansas territories.

Superior Materials, Inc., Garden City, N.Y., has been appointed distributor of Sud-Chemie's full line of products marketed for adhesives, sealants, paint, coatings, inks and related industries in the Northeastern United States. Sud-Chemie is an international producer of rheology modifiers and anti-settling additives for both solvent- and water-based systems.
