Tape Week 2022 detailed cutting-edge research and market-related developments for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape professionals and end users alike.
After two years of postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 437 people gathered May 2-5, 2022, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council’s (PSTC) inaugural Tape Week.
Homeowners, DIYers, renovators, house flippers, contractors, and all building and construction pros alike can benefit from the properties of pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape. Tape is effective for a broad range of applications.
It is with great pleasure, excitement, and anticipation that we officially host our first Tape Week event this May 2-5 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., with 500+ attendees from 100 companies and 10 countries expected. Representing both a reinvigoration of our historically successful Tape Summit and a refocus and expansion of PSTC’s reach, Tape Week is the only knowledge-building and networking event for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape professionals.
To address the evolving needs of the workforce and in evaluating the role that the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) can play in encouraging the continued health of our industry, we launched PSTC Tape Academy. The academy serves as a resource for individuals on a variety of career paths and in different roles, in addition to those who are new to the field of PSA tape or considering making a switch to our industry.
In the last Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) “Tape Talk” column and recent ASI Insider video, we discussed a number of topics, including our plans for Tape Week 2021, our adjusted strategy in light of the ongoing public health emergency, and the results of our record-attended Fall Member Business Meeting. Suffice to say, a lot has changed since then.
At the beginning of the year, and even as recently as March, the extent of our shared health crisis could not have possibly been imagined. Very quickly, however, following updates from national and international health organizations and the federal government, everyone, including all of us at the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC), began to make strategic decisions regarding how to not only navigate the perilous situation, but how to move forward.
As the holiday season approaches, millions of people will turn to pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape to help check off their to-do list. From hanging decorations to wrapping gifts, PSA tape is a useful tool in a person’s seasonal arsenal.
