A perk adds value to doing business.

It may not be a holiday in your book, but Free Shipping Day is for our household. With kids, work, household chores and the like, it seems we’re always running a bit behind. So when the day rolled around yesterday and more that 700 online retailers offered to send us our orders in time for the holiday, we were more than grateful – we’re rescued.

It’s actually a win-win-win situation; we’re happy to shop the stores that offer the free shipping; they get our business; and we are happy again to receive the order on time and at no extra cost. In fact, it probably makes us see their brand in an even better light than before, because we’re under the (probably false) assumption that they are doing us a favor.

In the chemicals industry, good customer service is paramount to repeat business. What is your company doing to help your customers, whether perceived or real? Leave a comment and let us know!
