Do you Twitter? Many corporations are finding it a new and innovative way to dispense information to their customers, clients and any others who might want it. Media organizations, publishers, colleges, non-profits, sports teams and even individual executives are using Twitter to communicate important information in real time.

Twitter defines itself as a social media service for friends, family and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?  Users subscribe to each other’s feed, or updates, to find out what they are posting, which can be done by way of an Internet connection or a mobile phone.

Here is a great list of organizations using Twitter, categorized by function. Does your company use Twitter? Would you be interested in following us here at ASI? Let us know – leave a comment below, and include your username id you are on Twitter.
