Here we present the results of the March 30 ASI E-News survey.

Are you concerned about possible repercussions if the U.S. imposes sanctions against Beijing over its currency controls?

Yes: 37.778%
No: 62.222%

Comments:

“If China does anything, it might actually help us by causing manufacturers to shift production back to the U.S. where it belongs.”

“What happens if Beijing responds in kind? We are in a deep economical hole at the moment.”

“This is one of many concerns with the current Obama group. They have no clue of what it takes for a better America.”

“I think it could backfire and make things worse.”

“(This) might hurt some U.S. exporters, but in the long run the level playing field can do nothing but help U.S. manufacturing.”

“As an American expat who has worked in China for several years, I know that sanctions aren't likely to have any real effect. China will simply subsidize market segments that have adverse reactions to sanctions.”
