CS HYDE CO.: Teflon Tape

April 18, 2008

This company has announced the availability of a one-of-a-kind product: Teflon® (PTFE) Tape with adhesive on both sides (thin-to-thick gauge).  Traditional Teflon Tape is only available with adhesive on one side.  CS Hyde Co. has developed a new technology that makes possible the production of Teflon Tape up to .060” thick with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides.

Double-Sided Teflon (PTFE) Tape allows customers to fasten two substrates together easily and inexpensively.  Rivets, bolts and screws are not necessary. PTFE substrate has the same characteristics commonly associated with Teflon: chemical resistance, non-porous barrier, extreme temperature resistance, and dielectric strength.  3M acrylic adhesive on both sides enables attachment to other substrates. In addition, this adhesive is resistant to extreme temperatures and chemicals.

Double-Sided Teflon (PTFE) Tape is offered in rolls, sheets or custom die-cut shapes.
