Binks has announced a comprehensive upgrade to its agitator line, to be used in conjunction with pails, drums and pressure tanks for both light and heavy-duty applications. Advantages of the new worm gear agitator drive units include: a new design to facilitate superior oil drainage; no exposed drive parts; 15:1 reduction (versus 20:1), requiring less air consumption for the same output shaft speed; more complete mixing and particle suspension; availability of fixed speed, variable speed and oscillating units; and more. The new gear reducer will be applicable for the 2, 5, 10 and 15-gallon galvanized and stainless steel tanks with agitator drives. These new agitator drives can be used with light, medium and heavy-viscous fluids, as well as with waterborne and solventborne materials.
