Fusion UV Systems, Inc. has announced the addition of Dr. Kazuo Ashikaga as director of Chemistry and Process Development for its Japanese business unit. Ashikaga will be responsible for supporting UV-curing projects for customers and prospects via chemical formulation assistance, educational seminars, and consulting with formulators of UV chemistries to solve curing issues. Prior to joining Fusion UV Systems, Ashikaga spent over fifteen 15 years as a photochemist. Most recently, he was R&D department manager at Matsui Chemical Co., Ltd. where he worked on the development of both free radical and cationic UV-curable inks and coatings.
