The new FillEasy Adhesive Feed System from Nordson Corp. automatically maintains desired adhesive levels in Nordson melters. The FillEasy system is ideal for production environments requiring a simple, dependable and economical filling system. The system uses a cone with an integrated ultrasonic sensor mounted to the tank/reservoir lid of the adhesive melter. The sensor detects low adhesive levels and transmits a signal to a suction lance placed in the adhesive container. The system adds small quantities of adhesive to the sealed tank at regular intervals, preventing the tank from running dry and reducing instances of adhesive char, contaminants, and incorrect adhesive temperatures that result in poor bonding. The FillEasy system is compatible with various bulk adhesive containers including bag, box, drum or tote, and adhesives in the shape of pellets, pastilles, and micro-mini slats.
