U6400 is a new, double-coated, medium-density urethane foam tape designed to be used by automotive, RV, truck and boat manufacturers to attach exterior trim components. The tape is also suitable for use by furniture and window makers in a variety of light- to medium-weight applications.
Use of the tapes instead of bolts and screws can reportedly eliminate steps in the trim installation process, resulting in fewer parts, better styling and reduced labor time. The tapes offer high initial adhesion and long-term secure bonding to a variety of plastic, metal, or powder painted surfaces.
