The operator can control the tester, place data marks during a test, and save and plot results simply by speaking into the wireless remote headset.
The ESLTest II is the industry’s first tensile-testing system that features voice actuation for hands-free testing. Voice-command recognition replaces old-style pip cords and handheld keypads for remote-command input into a point-and-click graphical user interface.

The system is well suited for the adhesives, textiles and metals industries. It tests the tensile strength of adhesives (including peel testing), vinyl, fabric, metal, belts, cords and more.

The operator can control the tester, place data marks during a test, and save and plot results simply by speaking into the wireless remote headset. The operator is completely free to handle the sample during the test, prepare the next sample or simply control the test remotely from a distance of over 50 feet.

The ESLTest II is a digital test system that performs industry-standards materials tests such as tensile, compression and peel tests. Standard templates generate full-color reports with plots and statistics for individual or batch tests. The system is also easily customized to output immediate statistics via pop-up panels and to produce report formats that exactly match those already archived by the user.

The ESLTest II is compatible with the computer network, allowing test data to be stored and retrieved from networked directories. Moreover, the software-monitor feature allows data from the tester to be saved at one location, and data analysis and plotting to be conducted at other network locations that may not have tensile-testing equipment. This supports the development of laboratory information-management systems (LIMS) where the data-analysis function can be separated from the actual testing function, and where data results can easily be shared over the corporate network, or e-mailed to other locations. Panel-by-panel security and a fully password-protected login structure aid in data management.

The ESLTest II system is currently available in 500-lb and 1,000-lb capacities. A complete turnkey solution is available including the mechanical load frame, grips, the tester electronics, a host computer, printer, wireless headset and Windows®-based graphical user-interface software. The system is compatible with standard PCs running Windows 95/98/NT. Custom systems can be configured.
