TRA-CON: Epoxy Adhesive

Tra-Con has introduced new TRA-BOND 342-3.5ACC, an epoxy adhesive specifically designed for applications with significant thermal shock. It can be cured at room temperature with an optional heat cure. The adhesive bonds well to ferrites and other materials where physical - rather than chemical - bonds are needed. TRA-BOND 342-3.5ACC is an excellent choice for fiber optic, aerospace and other high-performance electronic devices. This hard and clear adhesive can be used for structural lamination, prism assembly and small volume optical potting applications. It has good resistance to most harsh chemicals and alkalis, including petroleum solvents, oils and alcohols. This product has a viscosity of 700 cps and a hardness of 86 Shore D. It has a glass transition temperature of 99 degrees C and lap shear strength of 3,000 psi. The adhesive is workable for up to 4 hours and can be stored at -40 degrees C for up to one year. TRA-BOND 342-3.5ACC can be cured at room temperature for 24 hours or as fast as 30 minutes at 120 degrees C.
