Strizzi joins Univar following a 34-year career of progressive leadership and growth with three Fortune 100 companies. He began his career at Procter & Gamble and served as the operations manager for the company’s Duncan Hines facilities. In 1986, Strizzi joined Pepsi Bottling Group where he held senior management positions responsible for all aspects of bottling operations: manufacturing; warehouse; logistics; sales and distribution; technology; and customer service processes.
Following the spin-off of the Pepsi Bottling Group in early 1999, Strizzi joined Cardinal Health as general manager for the pharmaceutical division’s Midwest region, managing a $3 billion business. He rapidly advanced to become executive vice president leading the entire pharmaceutical distribution business, a $70 billion business unit. In September 2006, the company combined the pharmaceutical and medical products divisions and moved to a functional structure. Strizzi assumed responsibility for the entire warehouse and transportation operations as senior vice president of the Healthcare Supply Chain Solutions business.
Strizzi will report to Univar’s chief executive officer.
