Held annually, this on-site short course alternates between Oregon State University and Virginia Tech. The course will introduce the basic concepts of adhesion, and then build on these concepts with specific attention to wood. Upon completion, participants will better understand the unique bonding characteristics of wood. They will be better prepared to analyze existing problems and performance, and evaluate new applications. The course is recommended for persons involved in the research and development of wood adhesives, and those seeking an introduction to wood within the context of adhesion and wood-composite technologies.
