Celanese Emulsion Polymers recently announced the launch of its TufCORTM brand of emulsion polymers for the building materials market. The TufCOR product line is based on a range of chemistries including vinyl acetate/ethylene (VAE), polyvinyl acetate homopolymers and acrylic polymers for applications that include tape-joint and joint compounds, caulks and sealants, mastics, cement bonding and liquid admixtures, spackling compounds, and more.

These emulsions have been specifically designed to meet the performance requirements of modern construction environments, representing optimum adhesive solutions for joining an array of substrates that bond under a range of environmental conditions. The TufCOR brand will encompass previously marketed Celanese emulsions for construction products as well as new technology.
