In response to critical performance needs for immediate position feedback sensing and quieter operation, Bio-Chem Valve now offers two new high purity liquid transfer pinch valve enhancement options that enable OEMs to expand and upgrade their product lines by offering specialized position feedback sensors and noise deadening features.

The Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute (SWRI) - an independent professional organization of over 180 leading commercial contractors, manufacturers and consultants - recently validated the sealing performance of three Dow Corning sealants: 756 SMS, a medium-modulus silicone sealant for weatherproofing sensitive porous stone and metal panel substrates, featuring a patent-pending, low-friction surface that reduces dirt pick-up and fluid migration; 995 Sealant, a one-component, self-priming, neutral-cure elastomeric adhesive specifically formulated for silicone structural glazing, providing excellent unprimed adhesion to most building substrates; and CWS, a medium modulus, 100% silicone sealant, offering balanced strength and unprimed adhesion to most nonporous substrates at a urethane-competitive price. "Dow Corning Corporation has been a long-standing supporter of the SWRI," said Duane Govitz, market manager for Dow Corning Construction Industries, Americas. "We appreciate how this respected professional organization provides an independent, reliable source of industry research and information. That's why we're very pleased and proud to receive these most recent certifications." The SWRI certified the performance of all three sealants against two ASTM assessments: ASTM C719 (Adhesion and Cohesion of Elastomeric Joint Sealants Under Cyclic Movement) and ASTM C661 (Test Methods for Indentation Hardness of Elastomeric-Type Sealants by Means of Durometer Hardness).
