This company has reformulated and reintroduced its Loctite® 243™ threadlocker to withstand temperatures up to 360°F; cure consistently without primers; and tolerate contamination from thread lubrication, anti-corrosion, and protection fluids. Designed for locking and sealing fasteners that may need to be disassembled during their service life, this anaerobic threadlocker can reportedly provide enhanced performance on both active and passive metal surfaces such as steel, stainless steel, and plated materials.

The medium-viscosity threadlocker can prevent loosening and leakage from shock and vibration on fasteners from 1/4 to ¾ in. in diameter. A thixotropic liquid threadlocker, the material will not migrate once applied to a fastener’s surface. In addition, it can fixture in five minutes and achieve full cure in 24 hours when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces.
