Dead Sea Bromine Group of ICL Industrial Products has announced a price increase in list and off-list prices for its FR-1524 flame retardant (Tetrabromo Bisphenol-A). The price of FR-1524 will be increased by $0.14 per kilogram. The company said that increasing raw material, energy, labor and transportation costs require adjusting the product price. The price increase is needed to maintain prices allowing for reinvestment in production facilities and ancillary services, and to continue providing products with high service. The price increases will take effect December 1, 2003, subject to existing contracts.
