IPC: Digital Surface Mount Solder Joint Evaluation Training

IPC-Association Connecting Electronics Industries announces the release of a new surface mount solder joint evaluation training DVD, with such user-friendly features as random access/chapter selection, optional navigation, 3-D computer graphics/animations and microphotography for improved detail and English subtitles for hearing-impaired and ESL students. IPC-DVD-SMT-C-K, DVD: Surface Mount Solder Joint Workmanship Standards with Training Certification, provides everything a trainer needs to instruct, test and verify their operators and inspectors in order to apply the critical surface mount solder joint requirements from IPC-A-610C, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, and J-STD-001C, Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies. The course includes workmanship standards for Chip Components, J-Lead and Gull Wing solder joints as illustrated in IPC-DRM-SMT-C, Surface Mount Solder Joint Evaluation Desk Reference Manual, which is included for free with the program. The training DVD can be purchased for $495.00 by IPC members and $745.00 by nonmembers.
