Nordson EFD Wins "Best Places to Work" Award

Nordson EFD has been named a winner in the “Best Places to Work in Rhode Island 2010” competition conducted by the Providence Business News.

Nordson EFD, a division of Nordson Corp., has been named a winner in the “Best Places to Work in Rhode Island 2010” competition conducted by the Providence Business News. The program recognizes employers that create positive work environments and provide good benefits, training, and advancement opportunities to their employees.

“We have a unique global culture based on continuous improvement and learning, and have been fortunate to attract people with a real passion for excellence and customer service,” said Jeff Pembroke, Nordson EFD president. “The quality and commitment of our employees has been critical to our success, and we strive to acknowledge that through competitive compensation, attractive benefits and continuing career opportunities.”

Employees were asked to complete a confidential engagement and satisfaction survey consisting of 72 multiple-choice questions that ranked categories such as corporate culture, work environment, compensation, and relationships with supervisors. Company policies and benefits, including hiring and employment practices, insurance programs, retirement accounts, and profit sharing programs, were also evaluated by an independent third party.
