Edward Hays "Bubber" Reynolds, Jr. passed away April 22 after a lengthy bout with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Suzanne Janes Reynolds, and two brothers, Edward Alexander Reynolds of Columbia, and Harry Graham Reynolds of Trenton, SC. Reynolds is also survived by his five children and their spouses. Reynolds grew up in Columbia, SC, graduated form Clemson College (Class of 1944, B.S. Textile Engineering) and served as a Captain with the 42nd Infantry in Europe in World War II. After the war, he moved to Greenville and worked in sales with Keever Starch Company. After working for the Charles S. Tanner Co., Reynolds formed The Compressor Corp. of America in 1960. In 1967, he started Tanner Chemical Co. (Tanco Adhesives). Reynolds resigned as president of Tanco in 1978 and founded The Reynolds Co., where he worked until retiring in 1999.
