Specialty chemical marketing and sales distributor Viachem Ltd. has reported a record third quarter to investors, exceeding gross margin and sales targets for the three-month period. Citing new producer partner agreements with international specialty chemical manufacturers and sustained success in end-use sales, the company also predicts strong sales to continue through the end of the year.

Viachem recently announced exclusive distribution agreements with Japan’s Marubeni Specialty Chemicals Inc. to provide North American distribution of Asahi Kasei F310 Polyvinylidene Chloride (PVDC) Resin. In the agreement, Marubeni switched all sales, service and marketing responsibilities for the specialty ingredient from Bellevue, WA-based ChemPoint, a Univar service company. Viachem also recently secured exclusive North American sales and distribution rights for the MAXGARD^® line of UV stabilizers from Lycus, Ltd. The two agreements were significant in expanding Viachem’s footprint during the third quarter, according to Mike Efting, CEO of Viachem.
