Nyco Appoints IMCD Group for Wollastonite Distribution

IMCD Group named distribution partner for its wollastonite range into the ceramics, adhesives and sealants, coatings, plastics, construction, and friction markets.

Nyco Minerals has announced the appointment of IMCD Group as the new distribution partner for its wollastonite range into the ceramics, adhesives and sealants, coatings, plastics, construction, and friction markets. This new agreement covers 30 countries in Europe, Australia and Asia where IMCD has representation.

This partnership, which broadens IMCD’s filler portfolio and strengthens its position in these markets, is expected to help the group develop new business, predominantly in Europe.

“Wollastonite is a naturally occurring mineral with many unique characteristics,” said Stephan Neis, business unit manager, Plastics and Advanced Industries, IMCD Germany. “It provides strength and improved performance due to its needle-shaped structure, thermal stability, and excellent balance of physical and mechanical properties. . “With its unique and universal properties, wollastonite will strengthen our position in key markets. The relationship with Nyco is a strategic extension of IMCD´s European product portfolio.”
