OQ Chemicals announced today that due to supply and demand issues, the company will increase prices for certain oxo intermediates products produced at its Bay City, Texas, facility. The price increase becomes effective Apr. 1, 2024, or as contracts allow.

In North America and Mexico, n-butanol, isobutanol, and n-butyraldehyde will increase $0.05/lb. N-Butyl acetate    and isobutyl acetate will increase $0.03/lb, and neopentyl glycol will increase $0.06.lb. In South America, n-butanol, isobutanol, and n-butyraldehyde will increase $110/mt. N-Butyl acetate    and isobutyl acetate will increase $66/mt in South America.
