Chemours Receives DOE Awards for Sustainable Manufacturing Practices
The Chemours Co. was recently honored with two awards from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Better Buildings, Better Plants initiative, which recognizes partners for outstanding accomplishments in energy efficiency, decarbonization, water efficiency, or waste reduction projects or practices. This is the second year that Chemours has been recognized with both Better Project and Better Practice awards.
Carolyn Snyder, deputy assistant secretary for buildings and industry at the DOE, commented, “Partners in the Better Climate Challenge are industry leaders in energy efficiency and decarbonization. As a winner of both a Better Project and Better Practice award, The Chemours Company has demonstrated an innovative pathway to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions that other organizations can learn from.”
