Dow Emulsion Polymers has named Donna Babcock marketing executive and Murat Orhon senior marketing manager for its North American Coated Paper business. Babcock will lead the North American market team and will be responsible for implementing product development, technical service, customer management, and manufacturing to support the sale of synthetic binders and pigments. She will also oversee coated paper/paperboard strategic market planning. Babcock has been involved in Dow Emulsion Polymers paper and specialties marketing for the past five years, and has previously held positions with Dow Epoxies & Intermediates and Polyurethanes businesses. Orhon will handle certain commercial leadership, business analysis and reporting and conference planning responsibilities, and will work closely with Babcock in the customer/account management areas. Orhon holds a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey, and an M.B.A. from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. His previous positions include marketing manager for Carpet Latex for Dow Europe, Middle East and Africa, and account manager in Istanbul for Dow Performance Chemicals, including Emulsion Polymers.
