Permabond LH050 Pure is an NSF 61 approved anaerobic pipe sealant designed for drinking water systems. This sealant instantly seals the connection between male and female parts and can be used on metals such as brass, copper, iron, steel, nickel and aluminum. Once cured, the hardened anaerobic sealant typically exceeds the burst rating of the pipe, and locks the pipes, plugs, or fittings against vibration loosening. LH050 will seal with hand assembly while still obtaining the seal of a fully torqued pipe joint. It is a white paste with a 50 in-lb break strength and <25 in-lb prevail. The extreme upper-limit operating temperature is approximately 200 degrees C (392 degrees F) for sealing purposes. When stored at or below 27 degrees C (80 degrees F), it has a shelf life of one year. It is available in 250 ml, 1 and 14 liter pails.
