WASHINGTON — The Department of Energy’s Office of Industrial Technologies (OIT) is seeking proposals from industrial manufacturing companies for plant-wide energy assessments that promote energy efficiency, productivity, and reduced waste and pollution.

The solicitation is specifically seeking effective strategies from private industries that are considering adopting best practices and advanced technologies and processes. Priority will be given to proposals submitted from OIT’s Industries of the Future: forest products, chemicals, petroleum, steel, aluminum, metal casting, glass, mining and agriculture. Funding of up to $75,000 is available for each project selected (an industrial cost share of at least 50% is highly recommended).
