Henkel Corp. has introduced
the Loctite®
Focused UV Flood Lamp, a compact, lightweight UV light source designed to cure
a 4-inch square area. Weighing just over four pounds and measuring 7.5”L x 4.5”W
x 5.8”H, this unit can be easily hand-held or mounted above a worksite in
benchtop production applications.
The Loctite Focused UV Flood Lamp system consists of a 4-inch, 400 watt metal halide lamp that emits in the UVA and UVB regions. The operator simply turns the lamp on and places it over the assembly to be cured for the appropriate length of time for cure to be completed. An energy-saving standby position switch reduces the lamp's output power by half when the unit is not being used.
Expected UV lamp life is 1,000 hours. The Loctite Focused UV Flood Lamp will accept an optional visible light enhanced metal halide lamp for use with UV/visible adhesives grades. A louvered base is also optional.
