Creton Receives Wake Medal from Society for Adhesion and Adhesives
Costantino Creton, professor and director of Research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in France, received the Wake Medal and presented the eighth Wake Memorial Lecture at the Society for Adhesives and Adhesion’s International Adhesion 11 conference, which took place in September.
The prestigious Wake Medal was presented in recognition of his work in providing a basic and novel understanding of the adhesion of pressure-sensitive adhesives and other soft polymers, including bio-polymers. He presented the lecture, “Sticky Adhesives: From Polymer Physics to Mechanics of Soft Materials.”
