Nordson Corp. recently announced it has received the Carlsbad Business Achievement & Distinction (CBAD) Award for Community Footprint from the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Carlsbad, Calif. The Community Footprint Award is given to the company that best demonstrates a commitment to a positive community legacy.

“Nordson was founded in the 1950s and our founders believed that to be a successful company we have to give back to the communities where we work and live,” said Sara Vaz, community relations manager, Nordson. “So, we give 5% of our profits to charity every year. In San Diego, we've given over $1 million to local charities last year and our employees volunteer thousands of hours at community organizations.”
