Loparex, a global producer of release liners and engineered films, has announced that it would be increasing the prices of film and paper solutions shipped from its European and American manufacturing plants as of October 17, 2022. These adjustments are the first since February 2022. Loparex reports that the adjustments reflect the significant price and surcharge inflation seen across the entirety of the value chain, including continuing increases in the cost of paper and a dramatic rise in energy costs for European manufacturers.

While close coordination with customers on alternative materials and processes has allowed Loparex to successfully offset a majority of inflationary effects over the course of 2022, current market conditions require further pricing actions to maintain supply reliability. The company’s regional teams remain proactive in working with partners worldwide to address supply constraints and volatile input costs wherever possible.
