The Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) is an automotive industry questionnaire addressing areas such as sustainability management, environment, human rights, and working conditions. It helps form an opinion about the sustainability performance of suppliers and is a key component of a company’s sustainability rating as well. Schreiner ProTech has now achieved a top rating.

With 88 percentage points, Schreiner ProTech is one of the front runners within the industry, the region, and size of business. The current version of the SAQ 5.0 questionnaire has clearly raised previous levels of requirements and documented evidence. “This result,” said Dr. Thomas Gulden, environmental, health, and safety manager, Schreiner Group, “is relevant for us, and obviously gratifying, as the SAQ enables us to measure our activities against the high standards of the global automotive manufacturers and to show that sustainability and climate protection for us are truly central, firmly anchored subjects.”

In the area of responsible sourcing of raw materials, Schreiner ProTech achieved the maximum score of 100%. This special supplier questionnaire was developed by the “Drive Sustainability” initiative consisting of 16 automotive companies. The initiative’s aim is to create a sustainable automotive value chain.
