This company’s PALM (Production Ambient Light Measurement) Probe™ allows the user to take measurements in difficult-to-reach areas of UV-curing systems. UV system performance can be monitored in all UV applications, but the PALM Probe is especially useful in web and flexo applications. The unit measures a wide dynamic range, and includes auto scaling and adjustment for the user. It can measure light from approximately 100 mcroWatts/cm2up to 10 Watts/cm2. It can also read one of four different bandwidths — UVA (320-390 nm), UVB (280-320 nm), UVC (250-260 nm) and UVV (395-445 nm).
