This company has released CFX-VoluteGen, the latest in an integrated software suite for rotating machinery design. It provides designers of volutes and scrolls with a tool to interactively develop these components in a parametric environment with visualization in 3D. Configurations are easily selected and parameterized to meet individual requirements. The software provides an assortment of pre-configured cross-sections. It assists the designer by specifying the dimensions, number of sections, number of discharges and sizing method, then assembles the cross-sections into a complete volute geometry in less than a minute.
