This company announces the California Energy Commission’s approval of its 558 CA duct tape for use in both residential and commercial flexible HVAC applications. Simulated performance tests show that 558CA duct tape exhibits more than twice the expected life service of competitive products and retains 75 percent of its initial bond to duct-closure systems after 30 years. This self-wound tape meets and exceeds UL requirements as well as stringent, new requirements for flex duct-sealing stipulated in the California Energy Commission’s AB 970.
