Permabond 940 are non-blooming, low-odor adhesives designed to bond plastics, rubber and metal and are best suited for appearance-sensitive applications. Common cyanoacrylates can cause a white frosting on the surface of the components surrounding the bond site. This is especially notable on dark-colored components or sensitive plastics. Permabond 940 series of formulated alcoxy-ethyl cyanoacrylates will not create this undesirable appearance. Cyanoacrylates are single-component adhesives that cure by reacting to small traces of moisture on the surface of the substrates being bonded.
