Forbo Adhesives LLC, Research Triangle Park, NC, has announced the acquisition of the assets of Industrial Adhesives, Inc., Eugene, OR. This acquisition is an important strategic step for Forbo in moving its global product portfolio to higher-value products. In addition, it provides the framework to expedite the process of commercializing Industrial's Packtape™ and Packstring™ adhesive-coated products lines. Forbo has also completed construction of their new water-based adhesive manufacturing plant at the Eugene site. This site now has the capability to produce water-based, thermoplastic hot-melt and adhesive-coated products under one roof.
