Anderson and Associates, LLC's Aerosol Division has introduced AeroCure, a silicone spray designed for electrical connections that protects against moisture and temperature variances without impeding electrical conductivity. Once sprayed, the material cures to a conformal coating. The thickness of the coating can build up to 1/25,000 of an inch with multiple applications. The coating is extremely durable, but can be removed easily if re-entry is required. AeroCure was originally designed for copper cables used in the telephone industry, but it can be used anywhere that joined wires or cables pose a concern for moisture. It has uses in the marine industry for corrosion problems; in the cable television market, where connections are often made outdoors; and in in-premise wiring, where connections are subject to weather.
