Shimadzu Scientific Instruments has announced the introduction of its new GCMS-QP2010s Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer. Incorporating many of the high-end features of the GCMS-QP2010, the new GCMS-QP2010s offers high-throughput capability that results in excellent productivity, providing users with an improved performance-to-cost ratio. Like the QP-2010, the QP-2010s features patented constant linear velocity for optimum separation, 20 temperature ramps and both scan and SIM modes. The SIM mode enables monitoring of up to 64 sets of ions with up to 64 ions per set. Time-based Scan and SIM modes with 64 changes in each run maximize flexibility and performance. Designed for EI mode only, the QP-2010s features mass stability of 0.15 daltons in 48 hours.
