VpCI®-380 is a fluoropolymer-modified, water-based acrylic that has been designed specifically for the railway industry. Using a complex mixture of nontoxic, organic inhibitors, the material can replace most primer and topcoat systems with corrosion protection in just one coat. The coating is a flexible solution to use alone or in conjunction with Cortec® VpCI®-395 primer, and can be applied by spray, flow coat, brush, or dip.
The coating offers a non-flammable, UV-resistant barrier from the elements with a fast-drying/high gloss finish. It also reportedly exhibits excellent outdoor performance, resisting chipping or cracking in prolonged exposure to sunlight.
