This company has increased its range of rheological additives with the launch of high-quality SUPASIL(TM) powders. This new range of fumed silica powders are designed primarily to thicken low-viscosity products. However, they are reportedly extremely versatile and can be used as anti-caking and anti-sagging agents as well.
The powders are white, non-toxic particles of micronized silica. Their size is tightly controlled and can be produced in grades from 7-40 nanometers wide, which, in turn, have specific surface areas between 70 and 400 m²/g. The new powders offer high transparency and can be used in the rubber, sealants and color concentrate sectors.
