Kraton Corp. recently announced it has lifted its force majeure declaration for the North American tall oil fatty acid (FA-2) and distilled tall oil product lines. The lift is based upon restoration of operations for the crude tall oil refinery at the Panama City site, effective December 17. Kraton reportedly anticipates that its crude sulfate turpentine (CST) refinery should be operating at approximately 60% of capacity by the end of December, and it is planning for full operational capacity for the CST refinery to be restored by the middle of the first quarter of 2019, during which time the company expects the CST refinery will ramp up to pre-hurricane supply rates.
