Azelis Americas, LLC has hired Lucia Zamudio in the position of Sales director for the CASE division, Mexico, to lead the Azelis Americas CASE and Plastic Additive business in Mexico. The company closed on its acquisition of Megafarma in January 2020, establishing Azelis’ presence in the Latin American market and providing a foundation for the growth of additional businesses in Latin America. Based in Mexico City, Zamudio will be tasked with building out the CASE and Plastic Additives sales team and related functions in Mexico.

Zamudio most recently served as Latin American Sales manager at Honeywell in Mexico City, where she was responsible for significant growth across all areas of Honeywell’s foam business. Prior to Honeywell, she spent nearly 10 years in sales management at Air Products (now Evonik) Latin America, focusing on the additives business. In the early 2000s, Zamudio was a technical sales representative in Latin America for Lanxess. She has a degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from IPADE Business School at Panamerican Institute in Mexico City.
