Formula-8 is reportedly a shear-sensitive paste that sheets out into polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) strings when torqued and delivers high sealing performance on all sizes of threads. Ideal for use in oxygen and fuel systems, hydraulic cylinders, and natural gas applications, Formula-8 has been oxygen tested and certified by BAM and has been approved for use in food processing and handling facilities by NSF International. It maintains stability in environments of -400-500°F and is solvent-free and non-hazardous.
