Creating a more sustainable yacht industry and helping to protect the world's oceans are reportedly the main goals driving a new partnership between AkzoNobel's Yacht Coatings business and the Water Revolution Foundation.
Located in Miami, Fla., the Innovation Lounge includes a range of rooms replicating those that are typically found onboard a cruise ship.

MAPEI Corp. and interior designer and furniture supplier Shores Global are collaborating with other industry leaders on Innovation Lounge, a space designed to enable vendors across the marine industry to showcase their products to cruise executives.
As of January 1, 2020, with the support of independent manufacturers’ representative group Midwest Outdoor Marketing, yacht professionals and retailers across the Midwest will receive enhanced service levels and additional support.

AkzoNobel’s abrasion-resistant International system reportedly has a 47-year track record of performing in temperatures as low as -50°C and has been used on more than 1,600 ships and icebreakers around the world.

AkzoNobel recently announced that the new 12,366-ton Xue Long 2 polar icebreaker is coated with Intershield 163 Inerta 160 from the International product range.
