Huntsman Reports Higher Q2 Revenue as Olin Merger Advances

Huntsman Corp. reported second-quarter 2026 revenues of $1.663 billion, a net loss attributable to Huntsman of $6 million, adjusted net income attributable to Huntsman of break-even, and adjusted EBITDA of $120 million. On June 16, 2026, the company announced an agreement to merge with Olin Corp. in an all-stock merger of equals.
"We delivered a solid quarter, supported by higher volumes across all three segments and pricing actions that offset a significant increase in raw material costs," said Peter R. Huntsman, chairman, president, and CEO. He noted that improving industrial demand helped offset continued weakness in construction, while higher energy and crude oil-related costs, particularly in Europe, remained a challenge.
Huntsman also said its planned merger with Olin continues to progress. The companies expect the combination to deliver operational synergies, greater vertical integration, increased scale, and a stronger financial profile. The shareholder vote is scheduled for Aug. 25, 2026.
Polyurethanes
Revenue and adjusted EBITDA increased from the prior-year period, driven by higher average selling prices and sales volumes. MDI prices improved across all regions due to stronger supply-demand dynamics, while volumes increased in the Americas and Europe. Earnings also benefited from higher equity income from Huntsman's joint venture in China and cost optimization initiatives, partially offset by higher raw material costs.
Performance Products
Revenue and adjusted EBITDA increased primarily due to higher sales volumes, particularly in the company's performance amines business. Slightly higher selling prices reflected increased raw material costs, while cost optimization initiatives reduced fixed expenses.
Advanced Materials
Revenue and adjusted EBITDA increased year over year, supported by higher selling prices, favorable product mix, foreign currency impacts, and stronger sales volumes in the aerospace, power, and automotive markets.
